Create a mediterranean style mini garden with this timeless terracotta planter. It is ideal for growing herbs like chives, parsley, thyme and oregano amongst others. It is also suitable for growing smaller short leaf vegetables. Ornamental plants of suitable size will also look lovely in this simple planter.

Due to its artisanal production, there are slight variations in size and color from the sample on the photo. Terracotta material is porous which is great for the plant’s root development.

For better drainage we suggest using a 3cm thick layer of rice husks at the bottom of the planter. Optionally/additionally you can first cover drainage holes with a concave object like a curved piece of an old pot, an empty shell or similar. Make sure the convex side is upwards.
The porosity of terracotta pots allows natural salts and minerals from the water to seep through. This results in forming of the white powdery buildup called patina. The residue is not harmful in any way and in our opinion gives the terracotta planter an aged rustic charm. Handmade in Java.
